Hito no Tame

I just got a great Aikido shirt from Aikido Center of Los Angeles (http://www.aikidocenterla.com/). The back had a great “poem” in Japanese. I just wanted to share it with you guys and made me think about what Aikido is (even though it is pretty simple). On the back the shirt is printed:

– Aikido => Self explanatory
– Hito no tame (for people)
– Yo no tame (for world, age, generation)
– Do no tame (for [your] path)

Thought provoking.
